bedroom face lift ideas?
My room is just straight-up tacky. It has peachish-cream walls, a large white traditional desk from pottery barn, a weaved banana leaf (looks like wicker) headboard, weaved banana leaf dresser, and the trim around my window and doors is all dark wood. floor is dark wood. MY ROOM LOOKS LIKE SH!T. its so mismatched and boring. I was hoping you could help me with some ideas to transform my room (without painting the walls or changing any furniture) to turn it into a cool indie/bohemian colorful room. (suggestions for curtains, wall decor, duvet, and stuff like that) i really need to change my room. its so embarassing when my friends come over. my room is just so awkward. okay thanks!

If your room really is "tacky", you're already 1/2 way to accomplishing the "bohemian" look.

Hit the 2nd hand shopps, look for big shawls in fabulous burgundy and blue colors to drape across your headboard or dresser. Look for some funky accessories. Consider a draped canopy on the wall behind your bed. How about a beaded curtain?
Use your imagination. Visit a few sites for Morrocan styling. (simple web search will get you there!
