Great vacation spots around tennessee, georgia, florida, Louisiana, mississippi, or Alabama?
I'm going on vacation in May and I'm looking for a calm, not too expensive, but still fun place to go to. I am planning on taking my dog. Any suggestions?
I live in Mississippi and there are lots of nice state parks and things to see as well. Take a drive up the Natchez trace which runs from Nashville, TN to Natchez, MS, absolutely beautiful and there's a good chance you'll see some deer and turkeys too.
Lots of historic sights and things to stop and see so plenty of places for your dog to get out and get some exercise. There's a cypress swamp near Carthage, MS and while walking the very short trail around it a few weeks back, I saw 4 young alligators sunning on logs.
