Ancient Arrowhead
Where can I by arrowheads?
We’re doing a class project for my Global Studies class in highschool, and we have to “create” an ancient civilization by each of us bringing an artifact relating to that civilization. Then we bury all the artifacts on campus, and then next year the next class gets to dig it up and “discover” a civilization lol. We’re doing an ancient island civilization and I signed up to bring an arrowhead. Hahaha I dunno why I said that because I honestly have no idea where I’m gonna get one. So it would be REALLY helpful if someone good tell me where I could get one that is made of rock or at least looks like an arrowhead, or if you know how to make one that is NOT out of paper(it’s going to be buried so it can’t be that flimsy). If you know please tell me and thanx so much : ]
i need it by tuesday...
so don't say ebay 'cause i won't be able to get it in time and i don't have that much money lol
You should know that in many cases it might be illegal to buy and sell archaeological artifacts, especially Native American ones especially if you are unsure where they came from (robbed from an archaeology site for example). Laws are a bit sticky on that subject. Your best bet is to search around on the internet for a reproduction or someone who makes and sells them. There are a lot of people who are into flint knapping as a hobby, so you might be able buy one off of someone who does that.
You can make them the way the natives did, but it's not easy. Those who do it have years of experience. You can also just go the easy route and make one out of oven bake clay that any craft store or Walmart has, then spray paint it with that textured paint which looks like rock. It will be an obvious fake, but it would still work for you.
