Hide Painting
What are the temperatures and other guidelines for exterior painting?
I recently had a porch built - it has a large planter area which faces at T-1 siding. This siding is also used to mask the area under the stairs. Delays get paint contractor, the siding has been wet several times. Some of it is discolored black and there is a musty smell. Now the contractor has made the painting. Do I need to wash the black stuff spritz foot or so of bleach or simply paint over it? I housestain premium Sherwin Williams Acrylic. If I have to wash it, it means the way avoidance needs to dry again? How do I know if the siding is too wet from recent rains painting? How late in the day can I paint, because the days are warm - above 60 degrees, but nights were down in the 30s. Thank you!
If the wood is dry, I just want wipe off any dirt and Oil Painting of Zinsser primer and paint in an hour. The wood should be as dry as possible and the temperature must be greater than 55 degrees. Check the paint label for specific instructions. http://www.zinsser.com/
