What kind of nest is this?
We live in Southern Ontario.
Today we found a bird's nest that had fallen from (most likely) a poplar tree to the ground.
The nest is about 11 cm (4.3 inches) deep, and about 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) wide.
The nest is a pouch. (like a coin purse) It seems to be made bits of string, thread and feathers.
(The base feels like almost like felt.)
Any guesses to what this bird might be?
(Since it's September, the nest no longer has eggs in it)

It's difficult to guess without seeing it, but my first impression would be probably a vireo, or possibly an oriole. Try doing a google search and see if anything comes up that looks like what you have
